As a teenager I roamed this area with gay abandon! Without a care in the world we surfed and windsurfed all day and heard young bands like INXS and solo artits like the Emmanuel brothers cutting their way around the pubs at night. The Northern Beaches of Sydney were our stomping grounds and we flippantly scoured our way around with youthful disregard for both its beauty and the fact that anything could change.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, however the smells and atmosphere remain dauntingly familiar despite the years. Down here for the week I hope to show you parts of this coastline that I once called home yet which I am now a mere visitor.
